A Giant Serving Of Bernie Bits For Your Reading Pleasure — Including A Free-Form Year In Review For STL Sports.
BERNIE BITS Hey, settle in, take your time and read your way through a massive serving of the year-end Bernie Bits. New Year's weekend has to feature some excess, so I've done my part, and what I have to offer is harmless. So let's get started. FIRST UP ... Despite...
Bernie: Thanks To Coach Dennis Gates, It’s Fun To Care About Mizzou Basketball Again.
Welcome to Mizzou Arena, Kentucky. Welcome to the Gates of Hell. As in the Dennis Gates of Hell. In a frolicsome, joyous Wednesday night in CoMo, Missouri left visiting Kentucky thunderstruck with an 89-75 thrashing that turned into an unofficial celebration of a new...
Bernie Bits: Make Or Break 2023 For Drinkwitz, Big Opportunity for Mizzou Hoops, Bradley Beal, AFC QBs, College Football Playoff
BERNIE BITS 1. The Future Of Missouri Football: The Mizzou administration provided security for football coach Eli Drinkwitz in the form of a contract extension that included a generous raise. Surely these people were smart enough to set aside money to pay Drinkwitz...
Bernie: Mizzou Gives Illinois a Basketball Chemistry Lesson. And a Beatdown.

Bernie On Mizzou Football: The Tigers Keep Going Around In Circles With An Offense That Leads To Nowhere.
The contract extension for football coach Eli Drinkwitz fits nicely into the familiar category of “Mizzou is gonna Mizzou.” And I’m not even opposed to the idea of giving Drinkwitz more time, and to give the program more stability, because I don’t want members of the...
Bernie On Mizzou Football: What To Do When An Offensive-Minded Coach Can’t Build An Offense?
Missouri won a football game in the SEC, holding off the reliably beatable Vanderbilt Commodores for a 17-14 victory that impressed no one … except maybe the players’ parents. And I’m not so sure about that. The Tigers were quite gracious, trying to give Vandy what...
