Tom Calhoun

Tom Calhoun has been prominent in St. Louis-market broadcasting for over 4 decades. He is a retired broadcaster with experience that includes sports play-by-play, news broadcasting, program hosting and management. Calhoun has been the public-address announcer at St. Louis Blues hockey games since 1987 and the PA voice of the Gateway Grizzlies baseball club since 2003. He also served as news anchor and host at KMOX “The Voice of St. Louis”. His voice is prominent on regional and national commercials and industrial videos through his work as a free-lance artist with the Talent Plus agency. His broadcasting efforts and public-address announcing earned him induction to the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. Calhoun is a SAG-AFTRA cardholder and former member of its St. Louis chapter Board of Directors.
He received his Masters degree in communications from Lindenwood University and an undergraduate degree in mass communications from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He is currently a professor of mass-communication at Southwestern Illinois College.
Tom and wife Barb live in Millstadt, IL and have two adult sons.
