Top 10 Poll – Baseball – HSSC – April 12, 2022

CBC and Edwardsville continued their winning ways to remain on top of the HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Baseball Top 10 Poll. There was not a lot of movement at the top of the poll while St. Dominic joins the group after a successful week. Mother Nature will have a huge say on how many games are going to be played this week with severe weather due to hit the area Wednesday and Thursday.

  1. CBC (10-1)
    • Won three games last week including a pair of MCC matchups against Chaminade. The Cadets take on SLUH next Tuesday.
  1. Edwardsville (9-0)
    • The Tigers won a pair of games last week including a 12-0 win over Jackson at Busch Stadium this past Saturday and will take on Collinsville in two games this week.
  1. Breese Central (14-0)
    • The Cougars won three games last week and scored 35 runs in the victories. They will take on Freeburg Tuesday afternoon and Wood River Thursday.
  1. Fort Zumwalt West (14-3)
    • The Jaguars split a pair of games with Holt and swept Vianney for a 3-1 record last week and will take on GAC rival Troy in two games this week.
  1. Timberland (10-1)
    • The Wolves swept Troy in two games last week and will play Howell Central in a pair of games this week in conference play.
  1. Belleville East (9-2)
    • The Lancers defeated Waterloo before falling to Mount Vernon Saturday afternoon and will play Alton in two games this week.
  1. Seckman (8-1)
    • The Jaguars continued their winning ways with two wins last week and will play Clayton Tuesday afternoon and hope to play at Jackson Wednesday.
  1. St. Dominic (13-5)
    • The Crusaders are on a six-game winning streak, including a win over SLUH this past weekend, and will play AAA rival Borgia Tuesday afternoon.
  1. Columbia (6-3)
    • The Eagles bounced back after a loss to Breese Central with an 8-0 win over Salem and will host Roxana Tuesday afternoon.
  1. Festus (10-4)
    • The Tigers have won five straight games and will play a doubleheader against Windsor Tuesday evening before taking on Webster Groves Wednesday.
