With Mother Nature flexing her muscles last week, a lot of teams were not able to get on the court, but the ones that did made things interesting in this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 Poll.
In boys’ action, Vashon remains in the top spot after an impressive win over Chicago Whitney Young Saturday evening at the O’Fallon Shootout. On the girls’ side, Incarnate Word stays in the No. 1 position after winning the Webster Winter Challenge.
BOY’S TOP 10

– The Wolverines travel over the river to play East St. Louis Saturday evening. - Chaminade (14-4)
– The Red Devils extended their winning streak to five games and will have a busy week with games against SLUH and Westminster later in the week. - Westminster (18-1)
– The Wildcats move up a spot and will take on Whitfield and Chaminade this week. - CBC (14-6)
– The Cadets defeated Chicago St. Rita Saturday and will get a pair of games against Vianney before playing DeSmet Saturday afternoon. - East St. Louis (18-5)
– The Flyers get two SWC games against Belleville East and Edwardsville before taking on Vashon Saturday evening. - DeSmet (14-6)
– The Spartans bounced back with a win over Helias Monday night and will get ready for a clash with CBC Saturday afternoon. - MICDS (17-3)
– The Rams have won seven straight games and get a match-up with DuBourg Tuesday night and then travel to John Burroughs Friday. - Parkway West (16-2)
– The Longhorns get back on the court with a contest against Parkway South Tuesday evening. - Cardinal Ritter (13-9)
– The Lions look to bounce back after a loss to state power Blair Oaks with a game against St. Mary’s Wednesday night. - O’ Fallon (21-5)
– The Panthers fell to Bolingbrook Saturday afternoon and will take on Collinsville Tuesday night.
GIRLS’ TOP 10

– The Red Knights won their 58th consecutive game in defeating Webster Groves in the final of the Webster Winter Challenge Sunday afternoon. - Webster Groves (15-4)
– The Statesmen upset Rock Bridge in the semifinals of their tournament before falling to IWA in the final and will take on Ladue Tuesday night. - Edwardsville (23-4)
– The Tigers extended their winning streak to 13 games with a pair of wins last week and will travel to Lutheran North for a contest Tuesday night. - Whitfield (12-3)
– The Warriors have won four straight games and will travel to Visitation Tuesday evening. - Civic Memorial (26-4)
– The Eagles won two games last week and will head to Highland for a key late-season game Thursday evening. - John Burroughs (12-4)
– The Bombers extended their winning streak to six games with a pair of wins last week and will host MICDS Friday evening. - Westminster Christian Academy (13-4)
– The Wildcats travel to Principia for a key Metro League contest Tuesday evening. - St. Charles West (14-3)
