Top 10 HS Basketball Poll – March 15, 2022

CBC and Incarnate Word remain on top of our weekly Top 10 rankings, but there is movement on the bottom of both lists after the sectional and quarterfinals last week.

Here is this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac High School Basketball Top 10 lists.

BOY’S TOP 10

1. CBC (24-6)

• • The Cadets won their quarterfinal in Class 6 with a 53-40 win over SLUH and will play in the semifinals against Chaminade Thursday afternoon.

2. Vashon (25-4)

• • The Wolverines defeated Mexico in the Class 4 quarterfinals 69-44 and will play New Madrid Co. Central in the semifinals Friday.

3. Cardinal Ritter (20-9)

• • The Lions defeated St. Dominic in the Class 5 quarterfinals 67-47 and will take on Webster Groves in the semifinals Friday.

4. Chaminade (23-7)

• • The Red Devils earned a 57-37 victory over Fort Zumwalt South in the Class 6 quarterfinals and will play CBC in the semifinals Thursday.

5. Webster Groves (20-8)

• • The Statesmen defeated Cape Central 75-65 in the Class 5 quarterfinals and will play Cardinal Ritter in the semifinals Friday.

6. Westminster (26-2)

• • Season complete.

7. MICDS (24-4)

• • The Rams fell to Vashon in the sectionals to complete their season.

8. East St. Louis (27-6)

• • Season complete.

9. Fort Zumwalt South (26-3)

• • The Bulldogs fell to Chaminade in the quarterfinals to end their season.

10. St. Louis University High (18-8)

• • The Jr. Bills slide into the top 10 after winning their district before falling to CBC in the Class 6 semifinals to complete their season.

 

GIRL’S TOP 10

1. Incarnate Word (27-0)

• • The Red Knights defeated Troy 70-32 in the Class 6 quarterfinals and will play St. Joe’s in the semifinals Thursday.

2. Whitfield (23-3)

• • The Warriors defeated Warrenton in the Class 5 quarterfinals 44-27 and will play Webster Groves in the semifinals Friday.

3. Webster Groves (24-5)

• • The Statesmen defeated Cape Notre Dame 41-27 in the Class 5 quarterfinals and will play Whitfield in the semifinals Friday.

4. John Burroughs (21-4)

• • The Bombers defeated Hallsville in the Class 4 quarterfinals 53-42 and will play St. James in the semifinals Friday.

5. St. Joseph’s Academy (20-9)

• • The Angels defeated Jackson in the Class 6 quarterfinals 41-37 and will play IWA in the semifinals Thursday.

6. Civic Memorial (32-6)

• • Season complete

7. Edwardsville (29-5)

• • Season complete.

8. Cardinal Ritter (20-6)

• • The Lions fell to John Burroughs in the Class 4 sectional to complete their season.

9. Orchard Farm (20-5)

• • The Eagles fell to Hallsville in Class 4 sectional play to complete their season.

10. Troy (18-11)

• • The Trojans fell to IWA in the Class 6 quarterfinals to end their season.
