Edwardsville remains in the top spot on the HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 baseball poll after winning a pair of games this past weekend in Ozark, Mo. The Tigers remain the only undefeated team in the area. There is plenty of movement in the rankings this week while Eureka and Triad join the bottom of the list.

 

  1. Edwardsville (19-0)
    • The Tigers won four games last week including a pair of contests in Ozark, Mo, against Liberty (KC) and Liberty North. They will start the week with a pair of SWC games against Belleville West starting Tuesday.
  1. Breese Central (21-2)
    • The Cougars bounced back after losing their second game of the season to Nashville with a victory over Althoff and will take on Roxana Tuesday afternoon.
  1. Seckman (16-2)
    • The Jaguars are on a five-game winning streak which included a 3-0 record at Ozzie Smith Park this past weekend and they will travel to Fox for a conference contest Tuesday.
  1. Belleville East (18-2)
    • The Lancers have won nine straight games including a pair of contests against Carbondale Saturday and will play Gibault Wednesday afternoon.
  1. Fort Zumwalt West (21-7)
    • The Jaguars have won five out of their last six games and will take on Timberland in a key GAC pair of games starting Tuesday afternoon.
  1. John Burroughs (15-2)
    • The Bombers were 3-0 last week including a pair of wins over MICDS and will play Lutheran South twice this week in Metro League action.
  1. Timberland (12-6)
    • The Wolves earned a split with Holt last week and will take on Fort Zumwalt West in a pair of GAC league games this week.
  1. St. Dominic (14-5)
    • The Crusaders are currently on an 11-game winning streak and will play host to Borgia Tuesday afternoon in AAA conference action.
  1. Eureka (17-4)
    • The Wildcats join the list this week after beating Collinsville 4-2 Saturday at Busch Stadium and will take on Marquette in Suburban Conference play Tuesday.
  1. Triad (18-3)
    • The Knights are one of the hottest teams in the area with a 13-game winning streak and will take on Mascoutah Wednesday afternoon.
