There was plenty of shuffling in this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 football rankings, as St. Mary’s and O’Fallon move up into the top five after victories last week. Eureka also joins the list for the first time after their win over Marquette.

Just a reminder, we have combined all schools into one list for the fall.

 

  1. East St. Louis (2-2)
    • The Flyers opened SWC play with a convincing 57-0 win over Belleville East and will take on O’Fallon Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
  2. CBC (3-1)
    • The Cadets improved to 2-0 in the Metro Catholic Conference with a 56-7 win over Chaminade and will travel to De Smet to take on the Spartans Friday at 6 p.m.
  3. Howell (4-0)
    • The Vikings remained undefeated after beating Howell North 56-14 and will head to Troy for a big GAC match-up Friday at 7 p.m.
  4. St. Mary’s (3-1)
    • The Dragons defeated Lutheran St. Charles 56-20 last Friday and will host Duchesne Friday at 7 p.m.
  5. O’Fallon (4-0)
    • The Panthers needed a late touchdown and two-point conversion to defeat Edwardsville 32-21 last week and will host East St. Louis Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
  6. MICDS (4-0)
    • The Rams moved to 4-0 on the year with a 45-7 win over Priory this past Saturday and will travel to John Burroughs this Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
  7. Edwardsville (3-1)
    • The Tigers fell to O’Fallon this past weekend 32-31 and will host Belleville West this coming Friday at 7 p.m.
  8. Lutheran St. Charles (3-1)
    • The Cougars lost to St. Mary’s 56-20 this past Friday night and will travel to Cardinal Ritter Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.
  9. Cardinal Ritter (4-0)
    • The Lions traveled to Helias and came home with a 40-14 victory this past Friday and will host Lutheran St. Charles this Friday at 7 p.m.
  10. Eureka (4-0)
    • The Wildcats enter this week’s rankings after defeating Marquette 35-28 this past Friday night at will host Oakville in a 7 p.m. start.
