Fort Zumwalt South remains on top of this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Girls’ Soccer Top 10 poll after winning their opening round district contest. The majority of the rankings stayed the same as the top nine teams all claimed wins last week while Ladue joins the list for the first time after an impressive win their district opener.

 

  1. Fort Zumwalt South (22-1)
    • The Bulldogs have won 10 straight matches including a district opening win over Fort Zumwalt East and will take on Duchesne in the finals Wednesday evening.
  1. Triad (18-1)
    • The Knights open the IHSA tournament play Tuesday against Taylorville at Civic Memorial.
  1. Parkway West (19-0)
    • The Longhorns won their district opener against Rosati-Kain and will play Webster Groves in the semifinals at Ladue Tuesday evening.
  1. St. Dominic (17-3)
    • The Crusaders bounced back after losing to Cor Jesu with a pair of wins, including a district opening win over Helias and will play Holt in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon.
  1. O’Fallon (18-1)
    • The Panthers have won 10 straight matches and will start sectional action against Belleville West Tuesday evening.
  1. Cor Jesu (16-2-2)
    • The Chargers won a pair of games last week, including a district opening win over Marquette and will play Lafayette in the semifinals Tuesday evening.
  1. Nerinx Hall (11-2-1)
    • The Markers have won 10 consecutive matches including a win over Kirkwood in the opening round of the districts and will play St. Joseph’s in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon
  1. Duchesne (16-2)
    • The won their first two district contests and will take on Fort Zumwalt South in the finals Wednesday evening.
  1. St. Joseph Academy (14-3-1)
    • The Angels won two matches last week including a district opening win over Eureka and will play Nerinx Hall in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon.
  1. Ladue (16-4-1)
    • The Rams join the rankings on a four game winning streak and opened district play with a victory over Parkway North and will take on Visitation in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon.
