Fort Zumwalt South remains on top of this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Girls’ Soccer Top 10 poll after advancing to the MSHSAA Class 3 quarterfinals. Triad remains in the second slot as they prepare for sectional action this week. There are a lot of changes at the bottom of the list with Waterloo, Notre Dame, and Howell Central all joining after moving along in the state playoffs.

 

  1. Fort Zumwalt South (23-1)
    • The Bulldogs have won 11 straight matches including a 4-0 win over Duchesne to claim a district title. They will play Webster Groves in the state quarterfinals Friday evening.
  1. Triad (20-1)
    • The Knights defeated Taylorville and Civic Memorial to advance to the IHSA sectionals against Marion Tuesday night.
  1. St. Dominic (9-3)
    • The Crusaders defeated Liberty 4-0 to win their district and will play Howell Central in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.
  1. O’Fallon (20-1)
    • The Panthers have won 12 straight matches and will take on Edwardsville in the IHSA sectionals Tuesday evening.
  1. Nerinx Hall (19-2-1)
    • The Markers have won 12 consecutive matches including a 2-1 win over Lafayette to win their district and will take on Jackson in the state quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.
  1. Waterloo (19-4-1)
    • The Bulldogs slide into the list on a three-game winning streak and will play Mascoutah in the IHSA sectionals Tuesday afternoon.
  1. Notre Dame (15-8-1)
    • The Rebels rejoin the list on a three-game winning streak which includes a 2-0 win over St. Vincent to claim a district title and will play defending state champion Ursuline Saturday in the state quarterfinals.
  1. Parkway West (19-1)
    • The Longhorns saw their season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to Webster Groves in the district semifinals last week.
  1. Cor Jesu (16-3-2)
    • The Chargers season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to Lafayette in the district semifinals last week.
  1. Howell Central (13-8-1)
    • The Spartans join the rankings on a four-game winning streak after winning their district with a 1-0 victory over Incarnate Word and will take on St. Dominic in the state quarterfinals Saturday.
