Eureka takes over the top spot in this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 Volleyball rankings after defeating Lafayette in their rivalry game last week. There was plenty of movement on the list with St. Dominic and Jefferson both joining the list after wins last week.

  1. Eureka (9-1)
    • The Wildcats had a 3-0 week which included wins over Lafayette and Howell Central and will open play in the Gateway Classic Wednesday against Pattonville in pool play.
  2. Edwardsville (13-2)
    • The Tigers won of pair of matches last week and will take on St. Joseph’s to open action this week.
  3. St. Pius X (10-1)
    • The Lancers suffered their first loss of the year to Farmington and will look to bounce back with a match against Incarnate Word to start their week.
  4. O’Fallon (12-4)
    • The Panthers defeated East St. Louis in their only match of the week and will take on Collinsville to start action this week.
  5. Nerinx Hall (11-2)
    • The Markers won three of four matches last week including wins over St. Joseph’s and Kirkwood and will open action in the Gateway Classic against Incarnate Word Wednesday.
  6. Westminster (15-2-1)
    • The Wildcats won four matches this past week and will take on Parkway Central Wednesday evening.
  7. Lafayette (10-5)
    • The Lancers won two games after falling to Eureka and will take on Lindbergh Thursday evening.
  8. Mater Dei (14-4)
    • The Knights were 2-1 last week including a victory over Freeburg and will host Rock Bridge Saturday afternoon.
  9. St. Dominic (9-2-1)
    • The Crusaders have won four straight matches and will open play in the Gateway Classic against Jackson Thursday evening.
  10. Jefferson R-7 (15-3-1)
    • The Blue Jays have won 11 consecutive matches including winning the Seckman tournament and will play Arcadia Valley Thursday evening.
