George Grande has just about done it all in broadcasting.  He’s a play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds, he’s been the “mc” for the Baseball Hall Of Fame,  and was one of the first anchors in the history of ESPN.  A former baseball player at USC, his professional baseball announcing has taken him from the Yankees, to the Cardinals, and now, the Reds.

I recorded this podcast this past summer with George.  He has some great stories about the early days of ESPN and the very first day they launched the network.  Our conversation takes us to ESPN, Vin Scully, the craft of announcing, to having dinner with some of the biggest names I sports.  If you are an aspiring broadcaster, he has some great advice in this podcast as well.  Enjoy my conversation with George Grande!
